A Nashville mom is facing charges after leaving her children in her car while she went shopping this weekend at the mall.
The mom, Erika Bradley, 28, is accused of leaving her five kids in a locked car at Rivergate Mall for about two hours.
A passerby spotted the children and called police after she noticed the children sitting in the car for an extended period of time.
A police officer waited about an hour for the mom to return to the vehicle.
Officers said when Bradley returned she was verbally abusive to the kids, telling them they were "going to get it" when they got home.
Bradley told police she put the kids in the car about two hours ago because her 8-year-old tried putting things in her pocket while inside one of the mall stores.
When police put her in handcuffs, police said Bradley continued with the foul language, telling the kids "they were going to get it" when she got out of jail.
Bradley faces felony child abuse charges for leaving the kids unattended.
