COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) -
A woman is dead following a fatal house fire in Covington.
The fire broke out around 12:20 a.m. on Monday at a house in the 1300 block of Garrard Street.
Family members on the scene tell FOX19 the victim is 67-year-old Joan Herron.
Investigators say that Herron was found on the couch when crews arrived.
The exact
cause and origin of the fire are continuing to be investigated and at this
time, investigators do not have any reason to suspect foul play.
Family members said Herron was living in the home alone and had some trouble getting around.
