CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -
University of Cincinnati junior Sean Kilpatrick was named to the second-team ALL-BIG EAST conference for the second consecutive season.
The league's coaches voted on the teams and officially announced the results on Sunday.
Kilpatrick received the same award last season and was named to the BIG EAST All-Rookie team as a freshman. He becomes the second player in UC history to win three league honors during his career, joining Deonta Vaughn.
Kilpatrick finished the 2012-2013 regular season ranked fourth in the league in scoring with 17.3 points per game. He finished second in three-pointers made with 78, averaging 2.52 per game.
Scoring 537 points this season, Kilpatrick is second only to Vaughn's 554 points in 2007-2008 during the Mick Cronin era at UC. He has recorded two 30-point games and scored 20 or more points in nine contests.
The 6-foot-4-inch guard received recognition from the conference seven times this season with two player of the week honors and five weekly honor roll selections.
The Bearcats begin play in the BIG EAST Championship as the ninth seed on Wednesday and will take on the eighth seed Providence.
