LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -
Texas Tech police discovered the makings of an unfinished meth lab in a dorm room on campus Friday, on the third floor of Talkington Hall.
Tech police and DPS investigators were on the scene from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. Friday afternoon.
Texas Tech representatives tell us the site was not operational and was not considered a threat. They say the student had been away from the dorm for quite some time and although he had many of the tools and ingredients, he never had enough for a full working lab.
