PRAIRIEVILLE, LA (WAFB) - Detectives have arrested a man believed to be responsible for a trailer fire caused by a meth lab, as well as four people who allegedly helped him avoid authorities.

Ryan Espinoza was caught Thursday at a home on Moody Dixon Road in Prairieville.

Jason Powell, 39, and Stephanie Powell, 45, have been charged with accessory after the fact to creation of a clandestine lab.

Robert Grosse, 25 has been charged with accessory after the fact to creation of a clandestine lab, as well as possession of marijuana, meth and drug paraphernalia.

Emmitt Mercer, 30, has been charged with accessory after the fact to creation of a clandestine lab.

Espinoza, 31, has been charged with creation of a clandestine lab, simple arson, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, cruelty to juveniles, three counts of failure to appear, simple criminal damage to property and possession with intent to distribute meth.

The case is still under investigation and more arrests are possible.
