Applications are being accepted from experienced alligator hunters.
The permits include the Sabine, Lacassine and Cameron Prairie National Wildlife Refuges for the 2013 alligator hunting season.
Applicants must be at least 18 or older and have experience and equipment necessary to hunt gators safely.
Each applicant must submit a white 3x5-inch index card with their first, middle and last name as well as mailing address, phone number, email and write "Cameron Prairie, Lacassine and Sabine" at the top of the card. Below each refuge name, indicate your hunt preference (1,2,3, or 0). Write a "1" under the refuge which is your first choice to hunt, "2" for your second choice, and "3" for your third choice. If you do not want to or are unable to hunt on a particular refuge, place a "0" under the refuge name. Cards must be received at Cameron Prairie by 3:30 p.m. on Monday April 1, 2013.
