Panthers ready for intrasquad scrimmage

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two time league champion Albany Panthers are close to wrapping up training camp.

The Panthers will host their annual Purple and White team scrimmage Friday night at the Albany Civic Center.
It is part of the Meet & Greet the Panthers for the fans at the Civic Center.

After Panther fans watch their league champions in action, they will get a chance to say hello and grab a few autographs before the season begins next week at Louisiana.

"Working towards a common goal and that is trying to win another championship.  Bring more glory to the city. We have been working hard these past couple of weeks.  Tomorrow is going to be an opportunity to really show how our team is going to look this year.  Things are coming along pretty well," said linebacker Larry Edwards.

The Panthers Meet & Greet begins at 6:00 p.m. Friday.

The season opener is March 9 at Louisiana and the home opener against Columbus is March 16.
