If you were wondering what was going on around 2 p.m. Thursday on Nicholson across from Tiger Stadium, there is no need to worry, everyone is ok.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, a 15-year veteran motorcycle officer with the department was involved in single vehicle traffic crash at Nicholson and Campus Dr.
The 39 year old officer was traveling on Nicholson Drive, a road under construction, when a piece of asphalt bounced off the roadway and struck him in the leg.
The officer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
