Council could consider 24-hour liquor at casinos

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - Liquor could be flowing around-the-clock at Baton Rouge casinos if the parish metro-council approves the idea.

Currently, casinos must stop serving alcohol at 11 p.m. on Sundays and 2 a.m. on the other days of the week.

The measure was scheduled to be introduced at the council's meeting Wednesday. However, the council voted to discuss the possible change to casino liquor times at its meeting next month.

If approved, the change would only apply to the city's three casinos and not to any bars or restaurants.
