BUCKEYE, AZ (CBS5) -
A man was killed after being hit twice by cars on eastbound Interstate 10 at the Jackrabbit Trail, or 195th Avenue, on-ramp.
A Department of Public Safety officer said the man was believed to be in his 30s and was struck by one vehicle and then a second just before 2 a.m. Wednesday. The driver of the second vehicle stopped to provide assistance, according to the officer.
The man's body ended up on the shoulder of the freeway.
The eastbound on-ramp and far right lane were closed for a time, the officer said.
The officer said no one knows why the man was on the freeway.
No other information was immediately available.
