Top Texas football player commits to LSU

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Les Miles and the LSU football program got a big recruiting boost Monday with the verbal commitment from Ed Paris of Arlington, TX.

Paris, the top overall player in Texas is considered a 5-star defensive back.

The 6'1, 190 pound Paris is a big, powerful defensive back that has the speed to play any of the defensive back positions.

On Sunday Paris told NOLA.com, "Everything just feels right at LSU. The coaches, the fans and the football program are all top notch."

He is the sixth player to commit to the Tigers for the 2014 class.
