Conny is WTOC's resident reformed "ink-sling" – as some folks around here (read: Sonny Dixon) like to call her. She spent three and a half years as a newspaper reporter before joining WTOC in May 2012. A native of Elba, Ala., she graduated from DePaul University with a degree in Public Communication. Prior to joining WTOC, she covered crime for the Savannah Morning News.

Conny came to Savannah by way of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and the Virgin Islands Daily News. She had an eclectic beat at the Daily News – covering federal trials, the V.I. Legislature, utilities, tourism, crime, police misconduct and environmental issues. She won several Georgia Press Association awards before retiring her inkwell. Conny is a general assignment reporter at WTOC but specializes in investigations – particularly those involving breach of the public trust or misuse of taxpayer dollars.

Please email her your news tips at ccooper@wtoc.com.
