DUNWOODY, GA (CBS ATLANTA) -
Dunwoody police are looking for a woman who is accused of buying an iPad and returning it resealed with pads of paper inside of the box.
Police say it happened at a Walmart in Dunwoody on Ashford Dunwoody Road possibly on Jan. 21.
Detectives identified her as Ebony Fallon Washington.
She's also accused of doing similar swaps in New York, with gaming consoles.
CBS Atlanta has previously reported cases where customers bought sealed iPad boxes from stores, only to take them home and open them up to find pads of paper inside.
It is not known if this woman is connected to any of these other cases, but Dunwoody officers do believe she may have done something similar at about 10 other locations around the Atlanta metro area.
Police recommend opening up boxes for electronics when you purchase them to make sure you're getting what you paid for.
Walmart stores in the area are taking a closer look at how they process iPad returns to address this issue. They have implemented a process to monitor iPad returns.
