MORGAN CITY, LA (WAFB) -
A tip that
a man was possibly in possession of child porn led to an investigation which
eventually resulted in his arrest.
Louisiana
State Police said Austin Vinning, 20, of Morgan City was booked into the St.
Martin Parish Jail on charges of possession of child pornography, possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Troopers
said the case was part of "Operation Child Watch," which seeks to
rescue children from the potential abuse of those who prey on their innocence.
Detectives
with LSP served a search warrant at Vinning's home Wednesday. Deputies with the
St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office assisted in the search.
Investigators
said during their preliminary search of the suspect's digital media devices
they found several movies depicting child porn.
They also
reported finding marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the home.
