Multi-vehicle crashes lead to traffic woes

GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -

Louisiana State Police sent out advisories to drivers Thursday morning to avoid two areas because of multi-vehicle crashes.

The first crash happened on LA 30 between I-10 and Ashland Road in Gonzales. The alert went out around 6:45 a.m. Troopers said drivers should find alternate routes. The scene was cleared around 7:45 a.m.

The second accident was on I-10 West at Highland Road. The advisory was sent just before 7:15 a.m. It also suggested drivers find alternate routes.

They did not say how long they expect the congestion to last in the areas.

They also did not report whether there were injuries in the wrecks.
