A local Philadelphia real estate company, JG Real Estate, gives back to the community by offering a full tuition scholarship to a Pennsylvania real estate institute for those who wish to begin their careers in the industry

While the job market for recent college graduates remains bleak, the Philadelphia real estate market is gradually showing signs of stabilization. Therefore, many young people are now considering alternative licensed career paths such as a licensed real estate agent. JG Real Estate, a local Philadelphia real estate brokerage, is now offering full tuition scholarships to a real estate institute in order to encourage those who have a passion for the industry.
In order to apply for a Pennsylvania real estate license, an applicant’s qualifications must include a passing score on the state exam, a clear background check, a sponsorship from a Broker and the completion of two preliminary real estate courses-- Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice. JG Real Estate is offering their support during these early stages. The company will pay for both courses in full, in addition to covering the cost of the reading materials and exam preparation. The person chosen for the scholarship will learn about property development, real estate taxes and liens, transfer of titles, legal descriptions, principles of real estate financing, appraisals and listing agreements, among other categories.
“If there’s someone who really wants to pursue this as a career but just hasn’t known where to begin or hasn’t had the initial funds to get started, we want to help,” says Jared Gruber, the Broker of Record of JG Real Estate. “I want to support anyone with a real passion for real estate, even at the very start of their journey.” Gruber began his own real estate career soon after obtaining his undergraduate degree, solidifying his client-base and becoming such an expert in the field that he was named to be in the top 250 agents nationally by The Wallstreet Journal. He received his real estate Broker license and opened up his own company by the time he was in his mid-twenties. And now he’s giving back to the local community by offering that opportunity to someone else.
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, “beginning agents will face competition from well-established, more experienced brokers and agents. Because income is dependent on sales, beginners may have trouble sustaining themselves in the occupation during periods of slower activity.” Because of this, JG Real Estate will also provide one-on-one training and support throughout their career, especially during those important initial months.
Once the applicant completes their requirements and receives their certification, they have the opportunity to gain a position within the company and receive extensive training in lead generation, sales and leasing services. JG Real Estate is already one of Philadelphia’s top real estate brokerages, specializing in Philadelphia property management.
