MT. AUBURN, OH (FOX19) -
Several people in the Tri-State celebrated President's Day by visiting the childhood home of Cincinnati's own president, William Howard Taft.
Visitors to the William Howard Taft National Historic Site received a free guided tour on Monday, located on Auburn Avenue.
In addition, kids answered trivia questions and received a special badge in a scavenger hunt throughout the home.
"He
was the first president to throw the opening ceremonial pitch to start off the
regular season of baseball. He's also the only American that we have had to
date to be president and then later become Chief Justice of the United States
Supreme Court," revealed Kerry Wood of the William Howard Taft Historic Site.
The Taft House is the only National Park Service Site in Cincinnati.
