BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
The man
accused in the deadly home invasion in Beauregard Town back in 2010 is
scheduled to be back in court Thursday.
Last month,
Aramis Jackson's attorney asked to be removed from the case because of a
conflict with another murder case. Capital Case Conflict Attorney David Price
asked to withdraw from the case. He says his office has issues with another
murder case.
Jackson is
accused of shooting Alexandra Engler and her daughter, Ariana, during a home
invasion. The suspect has already been through several lawyers. He is charged
with first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Alexandra
Engler was shot to death inside her home in September 2010. Her daughter,
Ariana, who was 9 years old at the time, was seriously wounded in the attack.
Investigators
said Jackson's DNA was found on Engler's door.
