PHOENIX (CBS5) -
For some people, Valentine's Day is about taking the regret out of a bad decision.
Doctors at Delete Tattoo Removal have been inundated with appointments from people just itching to get rid of reminders of past loves once and for all.
The doctors here expect to see upwards of 600 patients this month.
"They want to start fresh. They want to start new. They want to get something off their body so they can move on," said Dr. Jen Mundt.
Mundt said names are some of the easiest to get rid of.
"Skinny black lines as far as tattoo ink come out very fast. It's very easy on the patient as far as healing goes." said Mundt.
It takes about 10 treatments to remove the typical tattoo. The average cost is between $75 and $100 per treatment. Those treatments happen about every six weeks. In all it takes about a year for the entire process.
"Boy do I get the hugs when it's done," said Mundt.
