LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced that pavement work on I-264 (Watterson Expressway) has been rescheduled for this coming weekend.
The original concrete repairs were postponed due to bad weather a week ago. Now work is planned to resume this weekend.
The work to repair or replace pavement on the Watterson east between the Browns Lane overpass and Westport Rd. will call for the ramp from I-264 east to I-64 west to close Friday, February 8th at 8pm until Monday, February 11th at 6am. During this time the right lane of I-64 west will also be closed over the Watterson Expressway.
The speed limit in the work zone will be reduced to 45 MPH and double fines will be enforced.
The work is planned for the next several weeks with lane and ramp closures possible from 8pm on Fridays until 6am on Mondays.
