CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
Produce stands reopened Friday morning following a fire at Cleveland's famed West Side Market.
All meat vendors remain closed.
The Wednesday morning fire severely damaged the 100-year-old landmark, and the inside still needs a lot of work.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, however the suspicion is that it's electrical. The city is still compiling estimates on damages and the clean up costs.
19 Action News is investigating - where was the security guard? Cleveland Firefighters are still trying to get an answer as to just how long the fire had been burning before the smoke detectors sent the alarm.
The fire was not called in by the security guard, although fire officials tell 19 Action News he was there to meet them when crews arrived around 2:15 a.m.
There is no timeline yet for a reopening. Meat vendors will lose thousands in sales.
