BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - The Baton Rouge Area Chamber says all school districts in our area improved according to recent ranking in the form of report cards released Wednesday.
The data shows that the St. Helena school district improved the most. St. Helena's district is up over 13 points.
The East Baton Rouge Public School System improved from a - D to a C grade.
"When you look at everything as a whole there really are a lot of bright spots," said Meg Mahoney, the senior vice president of economic competiveness for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber.
"We try to make sure folks understand those as well."
The report card for Forrest Heights Academy in the EBR district was one of those bright spots.
The school is considered one of the poorer schools, and they got an A grade.
"There are schools that are like that and have strong leadership and they are able to find ways to really to bring resources to the students there, said Mahoney.
While the BRAC report card shows some good, it reveals just as much bad in some cases. The region has the same number of A and B school districts and D and F school districts.
