Border patrol officers said they have nabbed a 42-year-old woman trying to cross the border with $519,000 worth of methamphetamines.
The U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Dennis DeConcini Port found 33 pounds of drugs during an inspection of a Hyundai sedan Monday. CBP said Nora Alicia Rosas Castelo of Nogales, Sonora, Mexico, had 26 packages of meth throughout the vehicle.
Castelo was arrested and faces prosecution on drug charges.
The car and drugs were seized.
