Queensgate fire causes $50k in damage

QUEENSGATE, OH (FOX19) -

A fire broke out at the Universal Fleet and Tire building on Dalton Avenue in Queensgate Sunday afternoon.

Thick black smoke was pouring from the building as firefighters tore through the roof to control the fire.

A small fire was located by officials and quickly extinguished.

Reports indicate that compressed propane tanks complicated the situation. The building was evacuated and the propane was released without incident.

The fire and smoke caused around $50,000 in damages.
