RUSTON, LA (KSLA/Louisiana Tech Sports Information) -

Jenna Johnson had a game-winning layup with five seconds remaining to lift Utah State (10-10, 7-2 WAC) past Louisiana Tech 76-75 Saturday night in the Thomas Assembly Center.

Louisiana Tech (9-10, 5-4 WAC) had a two-point lead late in the second half, but a layup with nine seconds left from Franny Vaaulu sent the game into overtime. The Lady Techsters led for most of the overtime period but could never extend the lead more than three points. Kanedria Andrews attempt as time expired came up short to secure a Utah State victory.

Louisiana Tech had four players score in double figures as Brittany Lewis led all scorers, recording a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures for the Techsters was Whitney Frazier, Lulu Perry and Kelia Shelton who scored 16, 16 and 15 points respectively.

Utah State was led in scoring by Vaaulu who scored 20 points to go along with a game high six steals. Johnson also scored in double digits for the Aggies scoring 15 points.

Louisiana Tech will return to action Wednesday, Jan. 30 in Little Rock, Ark., as the Techsters travel to face Arkansas-Little Rock.
