MANSFIELD, LA (KSLA) -

The family of Laderrick Hadnott is speaking to KSLA News 12 after the Mansfield Police Department makes an arrest in the case.

Terrance Glaster, 31, was booked around 8 p.m. on a warrant for first-degree murder, Mansfield Assistant Police Chief Gary Hobbs confirms.

"He was a person, and he didn't deserve to be killed," says Hadnott's mother Bonita Brown.

Hadnott, who was 29, was found dead by his roommate.

Police believe Hadnott died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Brown says her son was an outspoken jokester. She says the family is excited an arrest in the case has been made, but there will not any be emotional closure until a person is found guilty.

"I can't wait to go to trial and say something to the person, or persons, that did this to my child," says Brown.

Police say there are no other suspects in this case.
