BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Earl K. Long Medical Center will close earlier than expected.
The LSU-run hospital on Airline Highway in north Baton Rouge will shut down in mid-April.
The hospital had been scheduled to close by the end of the year.
Patient care and education programs will be moved to Our Lady of the Lake.
The closure is part of Governor Jindal's health care reform.
