LAWRENCEBURG, IN (FOX19) -
An Indiana hospital is offering free screenings in an effort to promote breast cancer awareness.
Dearborn County Hospital's Breast Care Center is offering free digital screening mammograms as part of its 'Pink Days' program. The free screenings are scheduled for February 1st at the DCH Breast Care Center.
Women who wish to receive a free mammogram must be age 40 or older, have no current symptoms of breast cancer, an Indiana or southwestern Ohio resident, have limited assets and income at or below 250% of the 2011 Federal Poverty Guidelines and have a physician or nurse practitioner their results can be sent to for follow-up.
Those interested must contact the DCH Breast Care Center to schedule an appointment. Program officials say women who meet the guidelines but are unable to attend the February 1st event because of work or family obligations, can also call the Breast Care Center and schedule an appointment on another day.
The Dearborn County Hospital Breast Care Center is located next to the hospital in Suite 120 of the DCH Professional Building at 606 Wilson Creek Road in Lawrenceburg.
The program is funded by the Greater Cincinnati Affiliate of
