CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) -
Cincinnati State Technical and Community College discussed new campus security measures on Tuesday.
Over the past six years, the college has updated surveillance systems and cameras, campus police communications and response training for officers.
On Tuesday, Director of Public Safety, Mike Wylie, talked with trustees about the new security features on campus.
Officials say the updates are part of the school's long-term plan to keep campus security up-to-date. However, recent nationwide shooting incidents have escalated some of Cincinnati State's training plans. Wylie said most of the changes are "not going to be visible," and officials want the school to "try and state ahead of the curve as much as possible."
Cincinnati State will have a training session with the Ohio Campus Law Enforcement Administration next month
