JMR Graphics, Nationwide Vehicle Wraps Manufacturer, Comments on Nate Swain’s use of vinyl banners to create artwork around Boston.
Central Islip, NY (PRWEB) January 22, 2013
On January 22, 2013, Nationwide Vehicle Wraps Manufacturer, JMR Graphics, following an article posted on Boston.com about Boston-Based artist Nate Swain, comments on his use of vinyl as a time-saving way to produce bright, lively murals to decorate the city of Boston.
According to the article, artist Nate Swain wanted to brighten up a bricked-up, electrical substation, stating that he wanted to transform the bricked-up windows to “look like real windows in the neighborhood.”
Swain states that while planning the project he ran into issues due to unforeseen obstacles like “scaffolding requirements” and “structural issues.” Swain said that he got the idea for using vinyl graphics instead of the time consuming project that he had originally undertaken when he saw the vinyl banners of the TD Garden as he passed by.
“It was an epiphany,” stated Swain and his “complicated, impossible project” became simple. It took a few days to install a completed vinyl banner instead of the four months he would have spent completing the project in its original medium.
The article also mentions that Swain reuses and recycles “used vinyl advertising banners around the city.”
John Galasso, a JMR Graphics representative, states, “Nate Swain’s art is beautifying Boston. He’s using photographs that he’s taken, and he’s printing them on vinyl as banners to decorate various buildings and structures in Boston.” Galasso continues, “This really speaks to the all-around benefits of using vinyl event graphics or truck wraps or any of our products, really. Just as Swain stated in the article, the vinyl allows faster project completion time and it’s removable.”
He continues, “Why paint a mural, which is very time consuming and is subjected to the elements, when you can use can use vinyl, which shortens completion time and is highly durable? I think Swain’s idea is innovate, and it’s ecofriendly.” Galasso explains, “It’s the same with painting your vehicles. Paint can chip or get scratched, and it’s subjected to whatever conditions you drive in. Vehicle wraps can handle things that would cause a wear and tear on paint jobs, and because JMR Graphics is 3M certified, we’ll always take care of any problems with your vinyl graphics without any additional cost to you.”
