LSU gymnastics ranked No. 7 in latest standings

BATON ROUGE – The LSU gymnastics team checked in at No. 7 in the updated GymInfo rankings released Monday.

LSU (2-1, 1-1 SEC) ranks No. 3 as a team on vault and floor with a 49.308 and 49.325 average, respectively. The Tigers are No. 9 nationally on beam with a 48.917 average and No. 24 on bars at 48.608.

Individually, Rheagan Courville is tied for 19th in the all-around standings with a 39.225 average. She also ranks No. 7 on floor with a 9.908 average, 15th on vault with a 9.883 average and 18th on beam with a 9.858 average.

Lloimincia Hall is the highest-ranked Tiger as she stands at No. 3 nationally on floor with a 9.933 average.

Sarie Morrison ranks No. 8 on bars with a 9.883 average, and she is 15th on vault with a 9.883 mark.

Michigan takes over as the new No. 1 team in the nation with a 196.942 average, followed by Oklahoma at No. 2 with a 196.825, Florida at No. 3 with a 196.817, UCLA fourth at 196.788 and Alabama fifth at 196.513.

LSU heads to the Metroplex Challenge at 7 p.m. CT Saturday against second-ranked Oklahoma, No. 9 Georgia, No. 16 Oregon State and Washington. The meet will be held in the Fort Worth Convention Center, and LSU plans to provide live audio in the Geaux Zone at www.LSUsports.net/live.
