HAMMOND, LA (WAFB) - A Hammond man is in jail after deputies say they found chemicals used to produce meth outside his home.

Deputies were initially checking on a suspicious vehicle in the 10500 block of Gatlin Rd.  When they went to find the owner, several people ran out the back door of a house and ran.

Deputies say they saw materials used to make meth in plain sight at the property.
