Fortune magazine has released their 2013 "100 Best Companies to Work For" list and Mayo Clinic has made the list for the 10th consecutive year.

Mayo Clinic ranked at 41 among the top 100 companies.

The Fortune 100 best website praises the Mayo Clinic for its use of social media in addition to its benefits in the perk-finder comparison tool.

The process to select the 2013 top 100 companies interviewed 259 companies and questioning more than 277,000 employees. A random sample of employees from a company took the Trust Index survey where two-thirds of a company's score comes from. Questions on the survey include management's credibility, job satisfaction and camaraderie.

The last third of a company's score is taken from the companies' responses on the Institute's Culture Audit that includes detailed questions about pay, benefit programs, a series of open-ended questions about hiring practices, methods of internal communication, training, recognition programs and diversity efforts.

"Fortune" partnered with Great Place to Work Institute to help conduct the surveys.

The Fortune "100 Best Companies to Work For" print edition will be on newsstands Jan. 21.
