MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -

Multiple agencies responded Wednesday afternoon to the scene of a wreck involving a Montgomery County School system bus and 3 other vehicles.

The collision occurred around 3:50pm on U.S. Hwy. 231 North near the Pine Lake Motel. That's about 3 miles outside the Montgomery city limits.

Alabama State Trooper spokesman Sgt. Steven Jarrett said the bus was carrying 4 students and the driver when it was rear ended by a pickup truck pulling a long trailer.

Sgt. Jarrett said none of the people on the bus were injured, though the driver of the truck was entrapped. Medical personnel removed the person and transported them to an area hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening.

Also involved in the wreck were drivers of an 18-wheeler car hauler and a box truck. The box truck drive was also taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Montgomery School System spokesman Tom Salter said each of the students was transported home via alternate transportation.

Agencies on scene included the Alabama Department of Transportation, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Rolling Hills and Pike Road VFD, Alabama State Troopers and the Montgomery Fire Department.
