ST. MARTIN PARISH, LA (WAFB) -

The Louisiana State Police say an 18-wheeler fire on I-10 West on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge closed a portion of the interstate Wednesday morning.

All lanes are open I-10 West at Mile Marker 126 (Atchafalaya Basin Bridge).

Troopers said the fire happened at mile marker 126, which is near Whiskey Bay.

They added the cab of the big rig caught fire, but there was no crash.

The fire happened on the St. Martin Parish side of the bridge. Troop I is investigating.
