Two 17-year-old females are facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 155 Ecstasy pills, worth nearly $5,000, during a traffic stop in Allen County in Monday night.
Troopers stopped a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis with Ohio registration, for a turn signal violation on Eureka Street, near McPherson Avenue, in Lima at 11:08 p.m. Criminal indicators were observed and an Allen County Sheriff's Office drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed the Ecstasy pills.
The driver, from Detroit, MI, was charged with possession of a schedule I substance, which is a third-degree felony. The passenger, from Lima, was charged with possession of a schedule I substance, a fifth-degree felony.
Both were incarcerated in the Allen County Juvenile Jail.
