KINGMAN, AZ (CBS5) -
Deputies said a 34-year-old Mohave Valley man was arrested early Sunday after his wife claimed he kicked her and his daughter alleged that he punched her after she brandished a gun to stop him.
Mohave County sheriff's deputies said Gregory Daniel Correa was booked into the Mohave County substation on multiple felony counts, including aggravated assault and domestic violence.
Correa's 32-year-old wife told deputies the couple was fighting in the bedroom when he kicked her, according to an MCSO spokesperson.
The wife told deputies their 12-year-old daughter grabbed a gun from a dresser, pointed it at Correa and yelled at him to stop, allowing the woman time to run out the front door to seek help, the spokesperson said.
Correa caught up to her in the front yard with the gun in one hand and trying to hold his other over her mouth to stop her from yelling for help, the spokesperson said. The daughter told deputies Correa punched her and wrestled the gun from her.
The woman was able to break free and Correa was found by deputies outside the back door of the residence and taken into custody and the gun confiscated, the spokesperson said.
