BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

Police are looking for a man suspected of beating his girlfriend and holding her against her will.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said Frank Beauchamp Jr., 47, is wanted on charges of second-degree battery, domestic abuse battery and false imprisonment.

He is 6'2" and weighs 255 pounds.

He has black hair and brown eyes.

Investigators said he got into an argument with his girlfriend earlier this month at the home they share.

They said it turned violent and Beauchamp punched the woman several times.

They added he then refused to let her leave the home.

Authorities said she was able to leave the next day.

She reportedly went to get medical attention and called police to report the incident.

Anyone with information on Beauchamp's whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 344-7867.
