Here are the latest confirmed school closures, early dismissals and delayed starts in the ArkLaTex:
Pinebelt Red River Headstart in Red River Parish will be closed Wednesday, January 16.
All Lincoln Parish public schools will be closed Wednesday, January 16.
Northwest Louisiana Technical College campuses in Minden and Mansfield will be closed Wednesday.
Central School in Grand Cane will be closed Wednesday.
Antioch Christian Academy Minden will be closed Wednesday.
All Louisiana Tech University campuses, including Tech-Barksdale, closed at 4 p.m. Tuesday and will remain closed through Wednesday. All classes and operations, at all campuses, will resume Thursday at 8 a.m. Click here for details and updates.
Classes on Northwestern State University's Cenla campuses at the Learning Center for Rapides Parish and Rapides Regional Medical Center will be canceled Wednesday. All other Northwestern State campuses will hold classes as scheduled.
NOTE: Schools in Caddo, Bossier and DeSoto parishes remained open Tuesday, and as of 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, had not canceled school for Wednesday.
Early dismissals/after school activities canceled:
Panola College's Marshall & Center campuses were closed Tuesday night due to weather conditions. Check Panola website, www.panola.edu, for info concerning Wednesday classes and start times.
Classes beginning at 7:00 p.m. or later Tuesday evening were canceled at both the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope and University of Arkansas Community College at Hope-Texarkana campuses. Classes will resume Wednesday, 1-16-13, at 9:00 a.m. at both campuses.
Texas State Technical College closed their campus at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. They expect to re-open Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., weather permitting.
Texarkana College closed early Tuesday at 4 p.m., and all classes and the open house scheduled for Tuesday evening were canceled. The open house for prospective adult leaders will be held on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 5-7 p.m. in the Truman Arnold Student Center.
Classes for Linden-Kildare CISD will begin an hour later on Wednesday, January 16 at 9 a.m.
Marshall ISD will push back the start of classes on Wednesday on all campuses to 9 a.m. Teachers and staff are asked to be at work no later than 8:30 a.m.
Hallsville Independent School District (HISD) is delaying the start of school Wednesday by one hour. Buses, therefore, will run their routes approximately one hour later than usual.
Tenaha schools will delay the start of school Wednesday because of the weather. Buses will run at 9 a.m. Staff will report at 9:30 a.m., with classes to begin at 10 a.m.
All public schools in Timpson ISD will start school at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.
Classes at St. Joseph School in Marshall, TX will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Evangel Learning Center will open on time at 6 a.m. Wednesday, but there are delayed starts for the following: Evangel School of Autism (10 a.m.), Evangel Elementary School (10 a.m.), Evangel Elementary School (10 a.m.), Evangel Middle and High School (10 a.m.). The Evangel and North Caddo basketball game is rescheduled for Wednesday, January 16 at 6 p.m. in the Evangel gymnasium.
Classes at Trinity Episcopal School in Marshall, TX will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Other public service closures & delays:
Texarkana's city bus system, the T-Line, stopped running Tuesday afternoon but resumes Wednesday morning. Call 903-244-0561 if you have any questions.
All branches of Bossier Parish libraries, along with the History Center, will be closed at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Shreve Memorial Library and its branches will close at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
