SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -
Scottsdale police said they arrested a woman in connection with the robbery of a Chase Bank branch Monday evening.
A surveillance photo released to the public resulted in numerous tips that led police to identify Charlotte Willenzik, 22, of California, as the suspect.
She was arrested Wednesday evening at the Cave Creek home of her grandparents and booked into Scottsdale City Jail on two counts of robbery. She is also a suspect in a Phoenix bank robbery and is being held in the Maricopa County Jail.
Investigators said they recovered cash allegedly taken from the bank in her room at the house.
A woman entered the bank at 31307 N. Scottsdale Rd. just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, approached the teller and demanded cash.
The suspect left in a gold mid-sized sedan with an undisclosed amount of cash. Scottsdale police said at least one other person was in the vehicle that was last seen heading toward Scottsdale Road.
No weapon was seen, and there were no injuries.
