SORRENTO, LA (WAFB) -
A five-car crash Wednesday morning caused problems for drivers in Ascension Parish.
The crash happened on LA 22 and LA 70, just off the I-10 East Sorrento exit around 6:30 a.m. About 10 hours later, the road reopened.
An 18-wheeler carrying ethanol was involved in the wreck.
Authorities had to initially close the exit ramp so a hazardous materials crew could unload the ethanol. Officials said none of the ethanol leaked during the crash.
There were only minor injuries reported in the crash.
