A Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for most of the WAFB viewing area

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for most of the WAFB viewing area through 6 PM on Thursday.

Heavy rains will be a threat for parts of the southern Plains and Deep South through the week.

There is a possibility of rain totals in the range of 3" to 4" or higher locally.

The graph to the right shows projected rain amounts through noon Thursday from the Titan 9 Precisioncast (RPM) model.
