ASU Fires Athletic Director Stacy Danley - WAFB 9 News Baton Rouge, Louisiana News, Weather, Sports

Alabama State University has fired Athletic Director Stacy Danley.  Danley says he is disappointed by the firing.  He tells WSFA 12 News he will fight the termination, saying "the evidence will show I was terminated without cause."  

Danley says ASU offered to buy out his contract, but he refused, saying there was not cause to fire him.  Danley has been on paid administrative leave since late August.  No reason has been publicly released.
