Police have charged a driver in a crash that killed a 27-year-old man in a Fairfield over the weekend.
Police say Zachary Kreke, 27, rear-ended a semi with his pickup truck on Route 4 near Camelot Drive around 1:00am Sunday.
Kreke's passenger, Robert Gilreath of Hamilton, died at the scene. Kreke was taken by helicopter to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
Kreke was taken into custody and charged with aggravated vehicular homicide after being released from the hospital.
Fairfield Police say alcohol is a factor in the crash.
