BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
A Denham Springs woman is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Livingston Parish.
The victim is 60-year-old Johnnie W. Johnson. State Police say Johnson failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway to the right. Johnson overcorrected the vehicle, causing it to cross Hwy 447 and then hit a utility pole.
The accident happened Saturday night around 11:30 p.m.
Johnson was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained fatal injuries.
State Police suspect impairment to be a factor in the crash.
