NEW ORLEANS - A pair of late night shootings left one man dead and another wounded in New Orleans.
In the first incident, an unidentified man was shot and killed in the Lower Ninth Ward Saturday night.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 in the 2000 block of Caffin Avenue where it intersects North Galvez Street.
Police responding to a call of shots fired found the man with several shots to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
A short time later, a man was found shot several times in the 1600 block
of Elizardi in Algiers. There was no immediate word on his
condition.
