GEISMAR, LA (WAFB) -
Three
people have been arrested a prescription drugs were stolen from a medicine
trailer at a pharmacy on Dec. 5.
The
Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said the suspects are:
Charles
"Dirty D" Savoy, 39, of Prairieville
Jonathon
"Fatboy" Jouette, 26, of Gonzales
Jody Ann
Gautreau, 56, of Gonzales
They are
suspected in the theft of drugs from a pharmaceutical trailer at the Walgreens
in Geismar. Chief Deputy Toney Bacala said the investigation is ongoing are
more arrests are possible.
Deputies
said they searched Savoy's home on Dec. 14 and found over 1,000 stolen pills.
Savoy was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail on the following charges:
Simple
burglary of pharmacy
Felony
theft
Simple
criminal damage to property
Distribution
or manufacture of Schedule II CDS
His bond
was set at $80,292.50.
Investigators
said Jouette was arrested in Alabama the next day. He is awaiting extradition
to Ascension Parish.
Gautreau
turned herself in to authorities Thursday (Dec. 20). She was booked into the
parish jail on the following charges:
Possession
of marijuana
Accessory
after the fact to simple burglary of a pharmacy
Possession
with intent to distribute Schedule II CDS
She was
released on a $15,000 bond.
