LEE COUNTY, AL (WSFA) -
Lee County authorities received multiple 911 calls at approximately 11:50 PM Friday night of a disturbance at a residence in the 3100 of Lee Road 188 in Loachapoka. Responding Lee County Sheriff's deputies, Auburn Police and Notasulga Police and EAMC EMS learned that there were multiple victims of possible gunshots and upon arrival discovered three persons had apparently been shot. 44 year old Lamar Curtis Lockhart of Auburn, 24 year old Lamar Shanks of Opelika, and 30 year old Saoona Frazier of Auburn had all suffered gunshot wounds.
Shanks was rushed unresponsive to East Alabama Medical Center with multiple apparent gunshot wounds to his face, neck and back. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at 1:17 AM Saturday morning. Lockhart suffered an apparent gunshot wound to the chest and Lee County Coroner Bill Harris pronounced him dead at the scene at 12:45 AM. The third victim, 30 year old Saoona Frazier, suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. She refused treatment at the scene but later went by private vehicle to seek medical attention at East Alabama Medical Center.
It appears that a gathering of 15-20 people were at Frazier's residence on Lee Road 188 when an argument broke out which turned into an altercation. At some point weapons were drawn and shots were fired resulting in the two fatalities and one wounded. Both homicide victims' bodies have been taken to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences Medical Examiner's Office in Montgomery for postmortem examinations.
The Lee County Sheriff's Office is seeking the whereabouts of 18 year old Justin Rashad Wright of Auburn in connection with the incident. Wright is described as a black male, approximately six feet tall and weighing about 185 pounds.
He is last known to reside in the Auburn area. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 334-749-5651, Crimestoppers at 888-522-7847, or the Lee County Coroner's Office at 334-737-3620. The case remains under investigation by the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Lee County Coroner's Office and the Alabama Dept. of Forensic Sciences.
