NEW ORLEANS, LA (WAFB) - No. 1 Parkview Baptist defeated No. 2 Notre Dame of Crowley 42-7 in the Louisiana Class 3A state championship game in the Superdome.
Eagles quarterback Brennan Bozeman scored three touchdowns on the ground and another through the air.
His third rushing touchdown of the game was late in the fourth quarter. Bozeman scored his second rushing TD on a 5-yard run in the third quarter. Earlier in the quarter, he scored on a quaterback sneak from the 1-yard line.
Bozeman also completed a 31-yard touchdown pass to SE Seth Shah with 35 seconds left in the first half for the team's third score of the second quarter.
Parkview's WB Hezekiah Randolph scored his second touchdown of the game on a 1-yard run in the second quarter. The team then completed a 2-point conversion. The drive started with an onside kick recovery.
Earlier in the quarter, Randolph broke several tackles on a 17-yard run for his first TD of the game. The PAT was missed.
The Pioneers only score was on RB Austin Thibodeaux's 2-yard touchdown run late in the first quarter.
Parkview finished the first half with 244 yards of total offense. The ground game accounted for 168 of those yards.
The teams have played each other in the playoffs in the last four years.
Parkview also beat Notre Dame in the championship game in 2009.
