WALKER, LA (WAFB) -

A gas station is back up and running after a dump truck hit its canopy over the fuel pumps Monday.

It happened at the Chevron station on Walker South Road off I-12 in Walker.

Police Chief Marliam Lee said a dump truck broke down in the parking lot around 2:15 p.m.

He added the dump bed on the truck had to be lifted in order for the mechanic to fix the problem.

However, the driver forgot to lower the bed once the work was done.

The bed hit the canopy above the pumps and tore up a portion of it.

No one was injured.

Marliam said no charges were filed.

The debris was cleaned and business resumed.

The names of those involved were not released by authorities.
